AAFS Friday: Calgary Farmyard Fall Days

Today AAFS Friday will be heading to Calgary Farmyard Fall Days! Calgary Farmyard has a lot to offer! They have a corn maze, petting zoo of all sorts of animals, various games, races, and much more!

Cost:

• Admission: $22.95+gst and fees per person ages 3+ if purchased online; or $28.50+gst at the farmgate
• $25 program fee
• 4.5 hours of respite or community aide fee 

*Please note: FSCD has confirmed new billing rates for our AAFS Friday Program. If your child is age 13 and over, you will be billed at a higher hourly rate (work related child care) and waived the $25 program fee. If your child is under the age of 13, you will be billed at standard FSCD hourly rates (work related child care), in addition to the $25 program fee.

*Please note: AAFS will be able to accommodate a New Heights pick up by bus at 12:00pm. We will then travel to our scheduled destination as a group. If you do not attend New Heights, please arrange to be dropped off at the AAFS Clubhouse (8228 MACLEOD TRAIL SE UNIT 220 - ABOVE AUTO VALUE) by 11:30am.*

AAFS One to One care information - 

AAFS is able to provide 1:1 support for our members who require it. 

As our member base grows, so does the diversity of need in our membership. We want to ensure all of our members are receiving the support that they need for each activity, however this does mean that we do need to  limit the amount of youth that require One to One care on each activity. We want to ensure that our members are receiving the support that they need to succeed and build social relationships.

We are open to discussing the option of youth attending certain programs with a private worker and would just need to meet with the worker prior to them attending a program. 

All AAFS Programs come with a Fee for Service which is classified as respite, community aide support, community access or work related child care and is covered by FSCD and PDD (Family Managed Contracts. If you do not have FSCD or PDD funding, please contact Dean Svoboda- dean@aafscalgary.com. 

Please remember that we do have a 48 hour cancellation policy in place to allow for adequate time to fill empty activity spaces from our waitlists and otherwise the respite charge will still be billed if the 48 hour notice requirement is not met.
